Too many of us modern women, suffer from the effects of one the most common patterns I see in sensitive, caring, beautiful women with so much to give: self-neglect.

Too many things on our To Do Lists every day, too many problems to solve, too many people’s needs to tend to, feeling off, overwhelm, always in motion – simply no time and energy for us – in our very lives.

Thoughts such as these might have crossed your mind: “when the circumstances in my life change, I’ll tend to myself”, or “I just need the relationship I’m in to improve and then I’ll put myself first”, “I just need to get that promotion”, or “when my parent’s illness improves…”.

Yet by the time all the above falls into place (or doesn’t, because some we may not even have control over), we are depleted, burned out, unwell, running on empty and disconnected from the source of all that’s abundant – that Feminine Source within us.

We want to be desired and magnetic in our relationships.

We want to have the energy to birth the best creative work we possibly can and attract a lot of abundance.

We want to be able to offer our children the gifts of our presence and connection.

And we want to enjoy health, well-being and a body that is there for us.

But by chronically neglecting ourselves, we are blocking ourselves from having those very experiences we desire.

I know how easy it is to believe that it’s our external circumstances that are causing us to neglect ourselves. (It’s what we’ve been taught to always do, to look on the surface and deny our power to create our reality.)

When what’s really taking place is that we are running on an internal set of beliefs about ourselves and on the emotional and physical attachments to those beliefs. Beliefs we might not even know we have.

So I’d like to share with you the 5 of the most common hidden reasons why we keep creating this kind of reality for ourselves, even after oftentimes, implementing self-care practices.

(This is the real reason why they don’t stick. Anything we do without also tending to our internal space, will require a lot of effort and will be a test of our willpower).

The wonderful news is that once you are able to pinpoint the exact set of beliefs and negative emotional responses that are driving your every-day behaviour and that are generating a vibrational frequency which in turn creates a a big part of that “avalanche of things on your plate” –

 you can start Reclaiming yourself.

Your time.

Your energy.

The well-being of your body,  the clarity of your mind.

The freedom of your spirit to nourish your entire being with self-care.

The Goddess Within.

Because the opposite of self-neglect is self-care, which is sacred.

And self-care is the language of self-love.
